Movie Madness: Hey Marauders! Come out next week for Marvelous Movie Madness. We will feature the movie, Saving Private Ryan, an excellent depiction of the effort to storm the Normandy Beaches during the DDay invasion of June 1944. The movie will be shown on Tuesday and Wednesday of next week, at lunch, in room 219. Hope to see you there!
Improv club: meets today at lunch in Rm #207. All new members are welcome.
Passing Tones: Would the cast of Passing Tones- please see Ms Olsen today if they're interested in attending the drama workshops at Bear Creek next Saturday.
BMHS Student Short Film Festival: April 12, The Circle Theatre is hosting a Student Short Film Festival. Films will start running at 9:45 and end at 12:45. This will allow any teachers in period 2 and 3 who would like to take their classes on a walking field trip enough time to walk there and back. Students can also go on their lunches outside of class time to attend. Students interested in entering their short film in the Festival please speak to Ms. Meadows in room 182.
Girls' Rugby: Attention any girls interested in playing rugby this year. Our first try-outs will be on Monday and Tuesday next week in gym 151. For more information see Mr. Griese in the languages office.
ART CLUB will be happening every Wednesday in room 152 at lunch. Everyone is welcome, no experience or supplies needed. First meeting is Wednesday, February 27th. ART CLUB in room 152 on Wednesday!!!!!!!!!!
Dodgeball Intramurals: Attention dodgeballers!! The schedule and rules are now posted on the Intramural bulletin board outside the double gym. Please ensure your team is familiar with rules of King's Court Dodgeball. The tournament will begin on Monday! Please see Mr. Geier or Ms. Allen if you have any questions.
Yearbook: Only a few days left to purchase this years YEARBOOK. You can pay with school cash online or see Ms Meadows in room 182 with check or cash. There will be no extra books ordered! Sales are over FEB 28 - NO exceptions!!!
Grad Photos: Attention ALL graduating students! You have ONE last opportunity to get your Grad photo taken! The photographer will be here on March 1st. Students need to book an appointment to have their grad photos and grad retakes taken by March 1st or their picture will not be included in the yearbook or on the graduating class composite. Please book your appointment now, visit www.bookmygrad.ca Our school code is: BAG You will need your student ID # - which is located on any report card, or you can see Ms Burek in the main office to get it. Even if you are not planning to purchase photos, please go have your photo taken. It will take 3 minutes of your time.
Last Chance Photo Day: All students who are new to the school for Semester 2, or missed all previous opportunities to have their school photos taken - you have ONE LAST OPPORTUNITY! On Friday, March 1st, at the beginning of lunch, you can drop in to the back of the library and get your photos taken. It will take 3 minutes of your time and ALL staff and students who have missed previous photo day or require retakes, should attend. 10:40-11am, Friday March 1st. It is mandatory that ALL staff and students have their photo taken. Even if you do not plan on purchasing photos, please get your photo taken.
The MOBYSS RV: a youth walk-in clinic, is here today and Every Friday from 10am to 1pm outside the cafeteria. Are you concerned about birth control, STDs or pregnancy? Feeling down, anxious or coping with drugs & alcohol? Maybe you have a sore throat or another injury? Whatever your concerns, we are here to help. Services are confidential, free and geared for youth aged 12-25. The team includes a mental health worker and peer support specialist. Students can drop in or book an appointment anytime.
