The last date for university applications is January 11th. Student Medical Forms Medical Forms<p>A completed Student Medical Form (FORM A1420-1 attached) is required each school year, or when a medical need is identified, or when the student transfers to another school, in order to authorize the administration of prescribed medication to students who require it during school hours, or when the medication and/or dosage requirements change.<br>Specific to asthma, every student is now permitted to carry his or her asthma medication if the student has his or her parent’s or guardian’s permission.<br>Parents/guardians and adult students are responsible for ensuring that a current, completed Student Medical Form is signed by a physician and on file at the school.<br>Some students may experience severe life-threatening allergic reactions to bee, hornet, wasp or other flying insect stings or to certain foods or food ingredients such as peanuts. Feeling stressed out? New boyfriend and lots of questions? Come on out to the MOBYSS RV. The MOBYSS RV is Ontario's first mobile health clinic for youth and it is totally FREE! The MOBYSS RV is staffed with a nurse practitioner, a youth counsellor and a peer support specialist. Students can drop in or book an appointment anytime. </p><p style="text-align:center;">●</p><p>Do you need a prom dress? The Prom Blitz Project can help! The Prom Blitz program, a local organization that provides prom dresses for Grade 12 students, is holding Boutique Days on March Break at the Kozlov Centre in Barrie. Students must make an appointment. Appointments are Thurs. March 16 and Fri. March 17 from 9:30 a.m. to 8 p.m., and Sat. March 18 and Sun. Attendance Area Review - staff recommendations Area Review - staff recommendations<p>​​<span style="color:#595959;font-family:arial, sans-serif;background-color:#ffffff;">Following are the contents of a letter being distributed to all families at Banting Memorial High School, Bear Creek Secondary School and Nottawasaga Pines Secondary School regarding the attendance area review.​</span></p><p><span style="color:#595959;font-family:arial, sans-serif;background-color:#ffffff;"></span></p><p>The Simcoe County District School Board (SCDSB) monitors enrolment trends and facility conditions in an effort to ensure that school attendance areas are structured to support student achievement. When necessary, SCDSB staff complete attendance area reviews (AAR) to balance enrolment and support student success and well-being.</p><p>The SCDSB Board of Trustees has approved a review of the attendance areas of Banting Memorial High School, Bear Creek Secondary School and Nottawasaga Pines Secondary School. The intent is to balance enrolment and alleviate pressures at Banting Memorial High School and Bear Creek Secondary School by realigning feeder school attendance boundaries. </p><p>SCDSB staff are currently considering the following:</p><ul><li>Aligning the Tosorontio Central PS and Baxter Central PS boundaries entirely with Nottawasaga Pines Secondary School's attendance area. <br><br>The review will take place during the 2017-18 school year and include a public meeting to address parent questions and get feedback on the proposed changes. <br><br>Further information is included in the SCDSB's 2016-17 Capital Plan.
