Welcome!

Banting is a big, busy, and exciting school that offers a wide variety of academic and co-curricular programs for our students. Our school is a vibrant community of dedicated staff, parents, and students who work together to promote academic success and meaningful school activities.

High school can be a very exciting time for many students where they make lasting friendships and create memories that will last a lifetime. There are many opportunities at Banting for students to learn, expand their horizons, and achieve success. Our staff is dedicated to supporting each and every student grow and learn. From students we expect consistent attendance, a commitment to learn, and respectful behaviour.

Banting has a rich community history and we expect each individual in this school to act with character and to respect all members of the Banting community, including our neighbours. We are working together for a Bright, Mindful, Healthy and Successful community.

HEADLINES

There will be an Apprenticeship Information Session hosted in the library on March 8th at 7pm. If you are interested in apprenticeship programs, check out this flyer for more information about the session.

Come out and watch the drama department's production of "Guys and Dolls"! Buy-outs for this performance are during periods 1 and 2, March 4th (grade 9s and 11s) and March 5th (grade 10s and 12s).

Please note when filling out your Option Sheet that the course formerly known as "Art History" is now being called "Cultural/Historical Studies" (AWU4MW). While the Ministry has changed the name, the course remains the same and can still be found in The Arts section, under Visual Arts.

It's Option Sheet Time! If you are looking for IDC4OW FILM AS NARRATIVE, the new English course, look under "Grade 12 Interdisciplinary Studies", not under "English".

This website is always under construction! If you find any broken links or have any requests and/or suggestions, please email liyoung@mail.scdsb.on.ca
