Announcements - Feb. 26thhttp://ban.scdsb.on.ca/about-us/news/school-news/23Announcements - Feb. 26th<p><span style="text-decoration:underline;"><strong>Thursday February 26, 2015</strong></span></p><ul><li>The Outdoor Club meeting for today is canceled.  Please bring all permission forms and fees to the English Office by Tuesday of next week, for the trip to Arrowhead Provincial Park.  Regular scheduled meetings will resume next Thursday.  See you there! </li><li>Last call for Senior Girls Soccer try-outs this Friday in the Main Gym at 3:03pm.  Must have a completed permission form in order to play.  See Mr. Northrop in Room 133 during period three if you cannot make it.  Get Kick'en!</li><li>Any student interested in being a member of this year's United Nations team is invited to a brief information meeting next Tuesday, March 3rd, immediately after school in Room 214.  You will not make your buses.  If you are interested in the team but cannot make this meeting, please see Mr. Howatson or Mrs. Wright in the History Office, Room 216, ASAP.</li><li>This is a reminder for all Grade 9 and 10 students who are interested in playing for the Junior Girls' Soccer team this spring.  Tryouts will be held next week on Wednesday, March 4th.   If you are interested in playing to not forget to sign-up on the sheet located on the bulletin board outside the Main Gym.   In order to participate in the tryouts, students will have to submit a signed Athletic participation form as well as an insurance waiver form.  Forms are also located outside of the Main Gym.   If you have any questions or concerns please see Mr. Andrez or Mr. Haas.</li><li>Congratulations to the Girls Curling Team who won SCAA last week.  Last night they competed for the GB final and lost by a 2 point deficit. Jackson's mailbox at the Office.  You can also add an optional message from your parents.  There is a fee of $10, and due by Friday, March 13<sup>th </sup><br></li><li>Varsity Girls' Rugby:  Any female student interested in playing Girls' Rugby this season.  Please visit the Athletic bulletin board outside the Double Gym for information on the upcoming season. <br></li><li>Get behind the wheel with the SCDSB Beginner Driver Education program!  The SCDSB Driver Education 40 hour program for teens and adults includes an in-class instruction, independent work and individual in-car instruction.  The SCDSB is a Ministry Approved Beginner Driver Education Course Provider.  Learn to drive over the March Break in Barrie, Alliston and Collingwood.  Registration forms are available in the Guidance Office or online at:       thelearningcentres.com                          under 'High School Student' and then 'Beginner Driver Education.'<br></li><li>Are you feeling stressed, anxious or even depressed? Although the frigid temperatures delayed the races three times, the girls skied well.  Dana finished 51st and Hannah 80th out of 139 senior girls.  Awesome season! <br></li><li>Pasta with or without meatballs today in the Cafeteria.  Red or white sauce.  See you at lunch!</li></ul>
