"We are very pleased for our students that this decision has been made."

“I’m thankful for the response EQAO is giving to our students,” says Kathi Wallace, Director of Education. “I'm appreciative of their work to investigate whether the OSSLT could be scored and their consideration of the feedback from school boards and the education community. We're pleased many of our students will have their OSSLT marked and, if successful, will have completed their graduation requirement.”

EQAO has said the results will be available to schools in January. Schools can then identify students who will need to write the OSSLT again on March 30, 2017, or who may complete the literacy course in place of the OSSLT.

Information:
Kathi Wallace, Director of Education
705-734-6363 x11204
