Student Medical Forms Medical Forms<p>​A completed Student Medical Form (FORM A1420-1 attached) is required each school year, or when a medical need is identified, or when the student transfers to another school, in order to authorize the administration of prescribed medication to students who require it during school hours, or when the medication and/or dosage requirements change.<br>Specific to asthma, every student is now permitted to carry his or her asthma medication if the student has his or her parent’s or guardian’s permission.<br>Parents/guardians and adult students are responsible for ensuring that a current, completed Student Medical Form is signed by a physician and on file at the school.<br>Some students may experience severe life-threatening allergic reactions to bee, hornet, wasp or other flying insect stings or to certain foods or food ingredients such as peanuts. All new members are welcome</p><p style="text-align:center;"><strong>●</strong></p><p style="text-align:center;">Your Jr girls' flag football team traveled to Barrie to compete in the Georgian Bay finals.  The girls played well but Bear Creek's defense was near perfect and limited Banting to 1 touchdown to Bear Creek's 3.  Congratulations on a great season ladies, your coaches are proud of you.</p><p style="text-align:center;"><strong>●</strong></p><p style="text-align:center;">Yesterday the junior boys soccer team hosted Orillia in the SCAA semi finals.  The boys dominated the game and then they didn't.  They jumped out to a 3-1 lead but let Orillia back into the game and the lead 4-3.  This woke them up and they never looked back coming away with a 8-4 victory.  Congratulations and good look in the SCAA finals against Collingwood.</p><p style="text-align:center;"><strong>●</strong></p><p style="text-align:center;">Hey Banting! <br> Student council will have a table at the front of the building tonight selling school merchandise from the Pirate Pit. The Night of Excellence team is looking for volunteers to sing or perform during the intermissions on November 2. Did you excel in your favorite class? Did you receive a Character Education award last year? If you did one or more of these things then you may be receiving an invitation to attend the Night of Excellence on Thursday November 2<sup>nd</sup>. This is an evening dedicated to recognizing the amazing academic and character education achievements shown by our Banting students. Be one of the first classes to receive and collect the Banting honor roll medals. Collect a unique grade specific medal for each year you earn honor roll. Return your invitation reply asap to your homeroom teacher or drop it off in the front office to reserve your place that evening. The athletic society will be selling custom under armour hoodies for all sports and clubs. We will be in the caf at lunch starting next Monday October 23rd to take sizes and orders. Best Buddies is back for another fun year of rewarding and lasting friendships.  If you would like to be a part of Banting's Best Buddies this year, please stop by room 149 at lunch to sign up.
